Ears and anxiety

So yesterday I woke up unmotivated and anxious and I was already excessively belching and yawning from anxiety so I decided to clean my room n distract myself

The second I finished I laid down in bed and then out of no where I could hear my ears

Like when u go out clubbing and come home with that pins n needles noise in your ear sad

It's still here and I cannot bare it sad I couldn't sleep n it's the first thing I noticed waking up sad has any one had this from anxiety symptoms and when does it go away sad

I can't even tell if the sound is in my ear or head pleasehep the dr said my ears were fine

Sounds like tinnitus

Someone on here did note it. It is tinnitus. Yes anxiety can cause it. Many things can cause and there is no cure as science doesnt know how to rid that eother. It can and does go away as well. The anxiety level needs to be managed. And dont use motrin a lot it s bad for the ears. Drink a lot,of water..too little water in the body makes ears weird too. Very common. White or oink noise helps this to sleep. Apps for that and or a cheap fan.

Are u sure it goes away have u had it before ??????

Hey Riri,

I have had this before, and yes, it did go away ... took a week or so though. It's very distracting, especially when you are in a quiet environment, and it makes it more noticeable.

Do you find yourself forgetting about it when you are distracted, or concentrating on something else. And then it comes back as soon as you stop concentrating on other things?

I have friends who have this almost permanently from years of concerts and loud music, so be careful with that sort of thing.

Thank you Orias for your reply !!! Omg thank you for the hope! I have had it three days now ! I can not ear it when I'm out at work or gym I dno if it's cause I'm distracted or I can't hear it but when I'm in quiet I can hear it and even now in bed it's driving me CRAZY it's like loud and don't know if it's in my head or my ears sad sounds like carcardas cherpin on a hot night or like what pins and needles would sound like I can't explain sad did you have this ? What was yours like how did you help it go away ?

Hey Riri,

I wouldn't say that it was as loud as crickets chirping, more of a sustained "ringing" noise that seemed to go away when I was distracted (which in your case, sounds like it's happening when you're at the gym etc). And then just one day I noticed it was fading more and more, until eventually it was gone!

I'm about to go to lunch with a guy at work who has this ALL the time, I'll ask him what he does to get around it

I have had this for a couple years now gets worse when my anxiety is heightened I have to sleep with a fan on or else I don't sleep. I notice it less in the day while I'm at work I notice it more at night or when it's too quit.

I tried explaining to my husband and told him exactly what you said that is sounds like those beetles that buzz on a summer night or day when its gonna rain. If that's what a carcadas is. If it is that exactly what my buzzing sounds like I hate it but have learned to live and deal with it took me some time drove me nuts but tolerable.

Hopefully its not good luck.
