My legs and fingers/arms started tingling, went to doctor and they told me they thought it was anxiety but recently my entire boy does it (back of head, buttocks, back, face, between thighs, torso)!! SHOULD I BE WORRIED???? HAS/DOES THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE I'm so worried idek what to do omg )I think I'm more scared cos I don't think I've been supr stressed or anxious the past couple days but it won't stop
sorry you were so concerned. Just to let you know when I was in my 20s I had the same thing happened to me and I thought I had some horrible condition. Back then, nobody was using the Internet so I really felt like I was the only person in the world with this! I was terrified! My dad took me to a neurologist who did a couple tests and said there’s nothing wrong and that I need to take a vacation. I thought that was a terrible thing to say but when I look back on it, he was right!
that symptom of the tingling combined with other symptoms I had were all related to stress and anxiety! Even when we don’t feel that anxious, there can be an underlying anxiety that we’re not even aware of until it comes out as symptoms.
I always recommend that people have a physical check up with their doctor and maybe some bloodwork etc. when they do get new symptoms just to give them a peace of mind. sometimes somebody’s electrolytes might be a little off or other non-serious things going on.
Even now in my 50s, when I am super anxious I do get the tingling here or there but it’s not as much as it was before.
just know that the tingling is quite common in people who suffer from anxiety and stress overload. That’s because anxiety tends to show symptoms in the nervous system so a lot of people think they have some terrible condition going on.
if you practice some mind relaxing techniques such as proper breathing for anxiety or just listen to an anxiety meditation on YouTube to calm everything down, you may find that the tingling subsides. Also if you do have ongoing anxiety, I found talking to a counselor really helps and they can help you manage it. You can do a virtual counseling session.
if The tingling keeps going on just your doctor know so he or she can check for vitamin or mineral deficiencies, electrolytes, , which is an easy fix! relax, it’s all going to be OK. I had that same fear and everything turned out to be fine
