51 yr old male. retina macular specialist said that I do not have macular degeneration. Doctor ran all kinds of different test. The conclusion was very few and small hard drusens and vetrous opacities, which are floaters. On an Amsler Grid I can see a a small part of a box with a slight bend. Mini blinds on windows may have a slight bend. Doctor said it is a floater in my axis vision. in other words right near the center. He said in a few months it should go away. has anyone ever experienced floaters causing this?
You probably have experienced a PVD event. Quite common in persons over 50. Very annoying and permanent but nothing serious. It is untreatable. However, in most people the brain learns to adjust and compensate and eventually you rarely are aware of it, which is what has happened with me after a few months.

I have what appears to be a blob that crosses my central vision every time i move my eye. Had it for just over a month. I'm going to see retina specialist tomorrow. It's driving me insane.

Hi Dave, I still have it. The blob crosses my line of sight every time I move my eyes. Its very annoying. I saw my retina specialist last week and he said this is PVD and otherwise my eyes are healthy. For me its a blurry cloud (blob) that passes by and its most bothersome when I'm driving.
