Long short story I’ve been having palpitations ,chest pain (like heaviness pressure )feeling like smth stuck in throat lightheaded!houndred of time at ER,switch 3 cardiologist, my ekg were slight abnormal so they order more test and nothing come up,so they diagnose me with anxiety and my therapyst prescribe me sertraline 50ml daily wich I’m taking ! So far I’ve done those test:
Lots of ekg
2 heart ultrasound of heart
2 event monitors
2holter monitors

Lots of blood work!
But still they don’t know what is causing my symptoms &that’s pretty scary,I feel like they are missing smth!im 29 years old , otherwise healthy! Any advice ? Sorry for the long post 🙄
Hi aria,
If you had that many tests then please have faith in your dr that you are having s but with anxiety. Have you been under more stress then usual lately? Has anything happened that was traumatic?
Alot of your symptoms sound like mine. I too have had an abnormal ekg once but then when they checked further there was nothing and I was good. I chalked it up to having a panic attack. I didn't want to believe them either cause i couldn't understand why it would just all the sudden happen out of no where it seemed to me. I used to be able to thrive under pressure but when all that started i would just crumble.
It gets better day by day! Try not to think the worst cause then you will just replay it in your head over and over which will make you anxious. Just tell yourself it is just anxiety. I picked that up from someone else and so far it is giving me some relief.
Thank you for replying! Its just stresfull having simptoms&doctors have no answers for your symtoms&when they dont just say its anxiety, but i dont feel anxious at all when i get those chest pain/palp! Recentlly hearing a lot of sudden cardiac arrest in young healthy women&thats terryfying ! I glad you are strated to deal better with your anxiety,,, wish you the best😊
omg this reply is me! straight out me! thank god im not the only one feeling this! dont worry hun, your not alone! i have the exact same palpitations so many times, and sometimes chest pain, hopefully we can all get through this!
Least they're not telling you something major is wrong and you need a heart transplant.. which would you rather have. Stay occupied and make that money! Cheers
I had a nurse once ask me if there was a thought that was going through my head at the time the anxiety attacks would happen. I couldn't remember but made it a point to try and pay attention to what I was thinking about when they would happen. I just felt like because I felt awful I just couldn't think about anything else because I was too busy thinking about what is wrong with me and trying to self diagnose. It is a vicious cycle. I wish you the best also! Just try to stop yourself from thinking the bad thoughts tell yourself no. It kinda helps. Leaving in fear just sucks.
