Hi guys.
I was diagnosed, a few years ago, with Tachycardia. This basically means I can have episodes where my heart races and my brain doesn't tell ut to slow down.
I was put on meds but came off onceI read the side effects.
I mostly manage it now by not drinking or eating anything with caffeine in or having too many colourings and e numbers.
I still get the odd episodebut other problems have surfaced.
I frequently have chest pains and my arm tightens and I get pains up and down it, sometimes in my neck. It's been going on for about 4 years (for one of those years I was taking meds) I have had tons of blood tests, some x rays and ecgs. I feel like they're missing something massive.
I get tingling in my fingers and they sometimes go numb. I have been to A&E twice believeingI was having a heart attack.
The doctor has said it's anxiety and panic attacks.
I have these symptoms most days, even when stress free. I don't feel anxious or stressed often.
I also feel like left lung struggles to inflate fully and often struggle to breathe. This seems to be sporadic.
For the past year, I have had a sinking feeling when going to sleep to the point where I feel like I am going to die.
I have even been for hypnotherapy but nothing seems to help!
Hi Hun! I had an episode of tachycardia lasting for 30 mins went to A+E and they said anxiety but I wasn't convinced went to docs 2 weeks later and he told me I was anaemic so put me on iron tablets that was in July and I will be on them till at least Xmas! And I haven't had another like it since, only for a few seconds and that was a while ago. I have ectopic beats where my heart skips a beat sometimes when I am stressed but if I keep busy I am fine!
My partner is going back to work tomorrow so I'm starting to feel really anxious as I'm scared to be on my own since it happens in July I thought I was going to die! I had tests and hey say I'm fine but I know it's hard to just get on with it. If you've had tests you have to take reassurance from it. Maybe check your levels when you next see the doctor. Hope this has helped I know it can be awful but you could be anxious and stressed without even knowing yourself! This is obviously causing anxiety for you and could be the reason this is still happening. X
Well I know what ur feeling in January I generally thought I was having a heart attack in fact I thought I was gonna just drop down dead and it come out of no where. Went to A&E did blood test an ecg and chest xray and told me was all anxiety I do not believe the doctors at all I'm still suffering now on a daily basis. But last 4 weeks I'm suffering with these strange feelings in my chest like flutters they last seconds but 4 or 5 times a day. It literally takes my breath away but my doctor won't take it seriously. I've asked to see a cardioligist and been told it's a waste as they will not do any further test. Also asked for a 24 hour monitor been told no what do I do now
Co enzyme q10 or ubiqinol ,might be very helpful. Vitamin D and b complex s well. B12 sublingual. Your body needs nutrition to properly function. A heart healthy diet and suppliments should help a bit. I am assuming you saw a cardiologist not your general gp. You do sound anxious. Anxiety plys horridly with the body. I went through some weird stuff last year for about two months. then it stopped. Looking bck i blame the antibiotic i took. Side effects can happen from ny medication nd you should ask bout that. I hope you feel better soon and at least obtain a doc who can huide you with suppliments.
Hey Charlotte!! Your story is the same as mine! I had the 24 hour monitor and what your experiencing is ectopic beats there are nothing to worry about everyone gets them everyday but some people don't feel them, I feel them a lot 5 times a day when I'm stressed or thinking about my heart! Honestly I can tell you it's most likely going to be anxiety, I've been through it and I can tell you that it's normal for everyone, your feeling them because your scared! Ask your doctor about them, some doctors get pretty fed up of anxiety patients as they have never been through it, I have a pretty good doctor he said he could refer me to a cardiologist if I wanted to be reassured but I don't think I need it. I can live with ectopic beats and so can you you just have to find a way of dealing with it!
if you need a chat you can always pm me I'm on everyday x
I use to have a great gp but he recently left the practice. The other doctors are ok but I think they are a bit flippant. I guess I don't trust them. Yeah I did read somewhere that some people are more body sensitive. I'm just scared there is something wrong the pain is awful and feeling I can't breath frightens me no end. I just don't what I'm.meant to do I'm.on medication sertraline I guess they make me feel a little clamor but when I get worked up nothing works
I recently had blood tests and they showed that Vitamin B12 was a little low, they have said it's nothing to worry about.
Think I will make an appointment and ask for Iron tablets now.
Thank you :0)
Push for it hun. I had a 24 hour ecg fitted and it was only then that they discovered my tachycardia.
Good luck
Yeah I have my next doctors appointment coming up in a few weeks so gonna push a bit harder thank you
