Does anyone know when stitches dissolve?am 10 days over a circumcision and night time erections are horrible. I stay awake all night as much as possible, settings my mobile alarm to go off every hour whilst laying upright on my sofa. The discomfort of an erection is so horrific otherwise
....
I had dissolving stitches put in my upper arm and it took about a month before I saw one disappear. One was actually sticking out of my arm. The doctor noticed it told me it was a dissolving stitch and not to worry about it because it would soon disappear. I thought it was a gauze piece that was stuck in my wound.
So you will have to waiting for them to slow absorb into your body.
Years ago, I had dissolving stitches sewn into my scrotumso I can image the pain you are experiencing.
Have you talked to a doctor about the pain you are experiencing.
I would suggest a doctor visit. Getting an erection after that surgery would be extremely painful. Maybe the doctor can prescribe pain pills or something to prevent erections.
Having my scrotum split open to tie my testicles down into my scrotum was the worse pain , but having my leg cut off below the knee, was probably the most horrible pain because it would be easier to die than to have to experience that pain again.
