I have been witnessing painless genital sores since the past 4 months. They have popped up for about 3-4 times in the past 4 months. This was a couple of days after I had unprotected sex with my girlfriend. They are intermittent. Usually stay for about a week before they vanish to come back again. As suggested by my doctor, I got a HSV 1 and 2 (IGG & IGM) blood test done. The IGG value is 1.85 and IGM value is 0.64. Does this confirm that I have been infected with the Herpes virus or is there still a possibility of any other Sexually Transmitted Infection?
yes, you are positive for herpes based on 1.85 do you know igg was hsv1 or hsv2? good news is that it’s been painless. i recommend getting her tested too.
