I tested negative for HSV 1 and 2 Igg 3 month after exposure and then 7 month after exposure. Can I trust these results? Because I’ve read many times that herpes blood tests are not very accurate. I’m very concerned and I don’t know what to think.
Did you have some sort of outbreak that led you to believe you have herpes? A blood test taken 7 months after exposure should be pretty damn accurate.
I had some kind of rash. I had white itchy spots on my vagina but they didn't hurt. I'm not sure if it looked like herpes but it reminded me of it
I think you're safe. Count your blessings and protect yourself lol.
Thank you for your answer.
Is there anyone who has made experiences with the accuracy of IgG blood tests?
anyone?
IgG tests are extremely accurate, as long as you wait the recommended 12-16 weeks after exposure. Past that, you're 99% safe that the test will be accurate.
Thanks for your answer! I've heard that some people don't even develop antibodies. Is that true? I'm so scared of a false negative blood test.
no your fine. at 12 weeks it accurate and you surpassed all that. Amen.
I hope so. I've also read many times that IgG tests miss 30% of the hsv 1 infections. Hopefully that's not true..
hi, we are in the same position i am also worried about blood test accuracy
How long after exposure did you test? The blood test was not type specific does that make a difference?
