Hi..

I am 21 yrs old.. i have been in a very long relationship with a guy for the past few years.. we do have sex a lot.. last ear i started getting cold sores on my lips.. it started getting worse day by day... this month i alrady had two outbreaks in my lips... yeterday i noticed i was feeling a little tungling and pain down in my vagina.. when i inspected it i noticed blisters there that had developed newly... :'( i have no idea how i contracted the herpes in the first place.. because my boyfriend is very healthy and he does not show any symptoms of this disease... and yesterday was the worst day ever... i am so upset abt the fact tat i got myself sick and now its affecting my vagina as well.. am so worried and distressed.. am confused i have no idea frm where i got this disease.. cud my guy have gien me the disease ?? But how ? He is perfectly fine... and am afraid to even kiss him now days in the fear of spreading it to him..

Please tell me what medicine should i take to prevent this ob in my lips and vagina ? I have not seen a doctor yet.. am afarid to tell this to my parents or my friends.. could i have spread the herpes to my vagina by accidentally touching my lips and touched the vagina while cleaning ?? I always use a disinfectant right after i toug my lips.. how did this happen ?? My guy and i had sex three days back.. cud he have passed it on to me then ?? All these questions keep running in my mind.. and am so worried i ve been crying and praying to God ever since..

don't panic it's okay smile

There are so many possibilities! It is possible that your boyfriend had herpes but never shows symptoms and could have passed it on to you without knowing.

I guess it doesn't really matter how you got it now... but just coming to terms with it and realising that it's okay... and then going to your doctor and discussing how to manage it.

Considering you get herpes on your lips also, it may be an idea to take Valtrex or some kind of suppressive medication to stop/reduce outbreaks and shedding?...

I checked wit my doctor.. he says its not herpes on my lips.. am very much convinced by the symptom that it is herpes type 1... i have just put it aside.. i will get through this hopefully.. am currently in vacation.. so no problem now.. i am just afraid of my work. What will ppl think when i have such blistery lips ? I used to have such lush lips.. sad can i cover it using lip stick ? Will it still be visible n will te yellow liquid still ooze out ? sad how do ppl manage it at work ?

Down under i can manage.. but lips are the most inportant part of the face.. ppl notice it quick..

I must admit it isn't pleasant but either is ACNE and pimples and people still go about their days with that.

Get some zovirax from the chemist and smother your lips in it. If need be take a day or two off work "sick" until it clears a bit.

There are also some strong medications the doctor can provide for you that will make it clear up super fast. I don't know the name but go to them and ask for the strongest stuff .
