I noticed a small red rash on my ankle almost 8 weeks ago and since then, it has grown significant and developed in to a large ring around my ankle/leg/foot.
I have seen two Pharmacists, my GP and Dermatologist - none of which know what it is and don't believe it is fungal or eczema related.
It is not a painful rash but sometimes is itchy, strings or I get pins and needles (the latter could be a coincidence).
I'm not sure whether or not I need to be worried but the rash is still growing and I just want the reassurance that it isn't anything to be concerned about.
Has anybody got any advice or thoughts with regards to what it could be?
Thanks!
Hi Martha
To me that sounds a bit like ring worm to be honest, check out this website link below

Hope this helps
I had a rash and swelling on the outside of my ankle 2 years ago and I saw a Consultant in Dermatology who diagnosed the cause as poor blood flow in the lower leg. The solution was to wear a compression sock during the day (flight sock or similar) and to apply a cream (Fucibet or Cetraben) to the affected area. Within a couple of weeks the swelling reduced. It took longer for the damaged skin to heal although it is still slightly discoloured. I stopped wearing the compression sock after about 6 months
