Rash on ankle for a long time (Pics)

Adult male, 18 y/o. I’ve had this rash on my right ankle for 3-4 years. It rarely itches (if it does it’s just outside the rash). It’s not painful. I can’t feel touch on it (even if scratched) but I can feel pressure. Rash blanches when pressed. Anyone know what it is?

No pics??

Here are the pics:

Included a picture of my left ankle for reference.

Need to see a doctor. Have you applied any anti itch npmedications?

I’ve tried using hydrocortisone but it didn’t do anything. I’ve tried regular lotion as well but that seemed to make it itch.

Looks to me like a patch of skin that has been subjected to some continuous rubbing by [possibly] a boot or shoe??  Then  eczema has set in.     If a change of shoes and regular bland skin cream doesnt help you may need to have a dermatologist do some skin scrapings for analysis.

I agree with Marina Dee . The pics are at areas on the leg/ankle that due to continuous friction from walking , has injured the skin. Treat the area with a large protective bandaid . After a week you will see improvement. Good ole Vaseline/ cortizone  applied with soften the harden surface of the derma layers . Keep protected until the skin has recovered. It’s not serious and in a few weeks you will see improvement.

Thanks y’all! I will do as suggested and wait and see. smile
