Has anyone heard of this IOL? Seems to use pin hole effect to provide extended depth of focus.
The surgeon that I saw has already implanted it in someone in El Salvador.

I found that lens during some research on lenses. As any keen photographer knows a small aperture is great for depth of field but then you don't get enough light to get a good image unless light levels are good.
Hence it seems to be recommended for one eye only (non dominant) and that makes me wonder how it compares to mono-vision where at least you get more available light.
Agree with pg128.
A terrible idea for any one who wants to be able to see in low light! Why would any good surgeon recommend this is beyond me!
