Inner thigh pain

every few months i experience an excrutiating and debilitating pain up the front and inner thigh of either or both legs . i have ruled out exercise .it happens at night when watching tvcomes out of nowhere, no position helps walking is next to impossible i sweat and pant and when it ends i end up with a sore throat 2 nights ago i actually cried at the end of itbecause it was both legs there are no painful after effectslike stiff muscles starts above the knee and in 2 seconds its up the front and inner thigh no pain in groin area lasts about ten minutesIm female 63 yrs
