I'm unsure if this is Herpes, although all my symptoms are pointing to it but basically what happened was 5 days ago I had unprotected sex with my bf of 6 months (we rarely use a condom) and the day after there was a tear on the base of my vaginal opening and a small pale pink lump next to it. I brush it off thinking it was from rough sex and that it would heal but two days later I was in so much pain and the area was swollen irritated so I went to see a doctor. She checked me and said it was Herpes and prescribed me antivirals which I have been taking the two days after. She also swabbed the sore and I'm due to get my results in two days. But with every passing day it hasn't really gotten better and now I have sores on my labia.
The reason why I am confused is that my bf has not had any symptoms and is fine and I read that a complicated yeast infection can cause similar sores to herpes, of which I constantly have gotten yeast infections and bv before. I don't know how I suddenly have a tear and sores after sex with someone I'm with for 6 months and then he is fine. Could anyone please tell me if this is herpes before my result comes back? 💀👏

It could be HSV1 caused by your bf carrying it in his mouth and if he went down on you..OR he may not have any symptoms and carry HSV2. herpes does cause ulcers like the ones in your picture. I don’t see a cut though. Doctor didn’t prescribe any medication?
The doctor prescribed antivirals for herpes and also took a swap.
I’m so worried if I was the one carrying HSV and didn’t know but I don’t know how a vaginal tear turned into herpes symptoms as now where the cut was it can’t be seen because there’s a sore over it. I have been feeling really tired and my groin does ache.
good thing you got a swab, you’ll find out soon just hang in there! It is really hard to know who passed it to who, but if your bf takes a blood test and comes back positive, most likely he’d be the carrier bc it takes a few months to show up in your blood. either way it is only a skin infection and it is inevitable that things like this will occur since almost everyone has sex. You’re going to be ok!! get some rest and drink a lot of fluids.
