Is this typical? Lower back pain

I’m perimenopausal. Never had kids. I’m 37. My mom went through perimenopause in her thirties. I seem to be doing the same.

My issue is during ovulation, I get really bad lower back pressure...not really pain, just pressure. It causes my blood pressure to increase and then I feel like crap.

I also feel pressure in my front lower pelvic area. It’s not cramps though.

Does this happen to anyone else??

I have had strange pelvic pressure or pain. Very low down and definitely not cramping. Its a really dull sort of throbbing pressure. Its quite unsettling. Doesn't happen a lot though.

Does it sound similar to yours.

Rosemary..

Yes it does feel like that.  I never know what it is.  It’s not cramps, not bladder... it really makes me feel pretty bad too. It usually only last a day or so but today it’s worse than usual.

I dont really bleed anymore but still have some sort if a cycle with a but of period pain and the last time I had that weird low throbbing it was worst i'v had it.

Did you see the 66 symptoms of perimenopause that I posted? It says this about back pain:

12. Muscle Cramps can occur anywhere in the body from legs to back to neck, and sometimes reflects the need for more calcium, or simply that your progesterone levels are too low.

13. Low Backache often worsens before or during menses, but if your hormones remain at low levels, you can experience it on a regular basis.

I always assume that if it is continuous then it may be due to menopause, but it may be due to something else so get it checked. If it only happens at a certain time and is cyclical then it is probably related to hormone levels and the menopause.
