Knee pain after anterior hip replacement

Did you ever get this resolved? I had a right anterior hip replacement 12 days ago. I was extremely active before which led to the need for hip replacement and onnly 52. My right hip is getting better but my right knee is bothering me. PT says it’s normal but the knee was never N issue before surgery. I know it’s early but it’s the knee that bothers me when I walk and especially at night. Continues to throb all night. And again bothers ( hurts) me when walk or do some of the exercises. No one told me this would happen. I see that people are having this issue but what are you all doing to resolve it?

Hi ya

Yes I had knee issues as soon as I had surgery. I still have knee issues 5 months on. I can't walk up and down the stairs on it still. My physio therapist said to keep moving it as much as possible, he describes it as being glued together from lack of movement. It crunches and cracks which it didn't before, I continue the exercises and it has got better but he can't really offer a real explanation.

I am 3 weeks after THR right side and have had same experience.

My therapist tells me perfectally normal.   1) a tendon involved which he showed me and normal

2) because your walking on that side again without the limp and

Off balance.

Good luck ... H

Thanks. My therapist has said it’s normal too. I’m asking my surgeon on Thursday. I’d like to believe that it will go away.

Hi .I had some discomfort in my knee but it didn't last long...funny thing is at my 3 week apt the PA asked if my knee was bothering me..at the time it wasn't...I was told during surgery the surgeon holds on to the knee to dislocate the ball and joint..idk..makes sense..but my knee no longer hurts..I'm 3 months po
