Macular Hole

I had a vitrectomy seven weeks ago in the US.  I only had to position for one day, due to new findings about lengthy face-down recovry really being unnecessary, although I couldn't return to full activities for two weeks.  My distance vision is vastly improved from what it was before the surgery and I no longer have missing central vision anymore.  My concern is that I can't yet read with the eye, that there is distortion up-close.  Has anyone experienced a similar result?  I'm hoping it will improve with time.

Are you suffering from ARMD or some other eye problem. I am suffering from early dry AMD and also early Glaucoma since end 2015 when I went for a normal check up of eyes being in advanced age. My eye sight was quite OK when initially diagnosed and even now it is almiost the same except slight decrease of eye sight in one eye.

Did you go through vitrectomy for ARMD problem? Did you use any other eye vitamin for AMD? If so, results? I must say that imrovement of distance vision is a good sign as you mention. Some further improvement can be expected. Speed of recovery varies depending on age of the patient. Good luck to you.

Thank you. I have no armd or glaucoma. But I had a stage 3 macular hole. Very difficult obtaining data on speed of recovery.
