I have been having some stomach pain the last week or so.

I went to the ER for it and they ran all my blood and did and abdominal Unltrasound. Everything was fine with both.

I'm still having the mild discomfort in my abdomen, back and lower pelvic area. My family keeps saying anxiety but I don't know how that could cause this.

Also less then two years ago I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy which showed nothing bad except hemmroids.

My two fears are stomach cancer or colon cancer. Logic is telling me I just had an abdominal ultrasound and that would have showed something for stomach cancer, plus I had an endoscopy about two years ago. Then with the colon cancer worry, I just had a colonoscopy about two years ago and nothing would develop that fast.

I'm struggling with trying to use my logic and my fear of having a terminal illness like those two.

Hi Jay, your logic and reasoning is spot on. A few months ago I had terrible abdominal pain which came in waves, I went to my GP thinking my anxiety had started ibs, but I was wrong it was just the anxiety manifesting itself in stomach cramps, gave me some peppermint tablets all bleated up in a day.

Your letting your anxiety have its day and its messing with you, stick to your rationalisation, I know if you have an ounce of doubt it will latch onto it but just to your best to keep on the side of logic. Neil

Thank you, I'm really trying to... I know that logic from the tests seem to tell me I'm ok but can't shake my fears.
