Pain in buttock after non weight bearing

Hello everyone…my names Carol…10 weeks ago l broke my femur…caught my heel in pile carpet and fell heavily onto floor…had a dynamic hip screw implanted…l am 61 and (thank goodness) my bone density tests have come back good…just an unfortunate accident…was non weight bearing fir 7weeks…saw the surgeon and everything in place…l am home after 10weeks staying with my sister at her bungalow…now 75 %weight bearing (difficult to gauge ) and the pain after steps (on crutches , with Zimmer for flat surfaces) is right into my hip / buttock…the consultant did talk about hip necrosis being a possibility in some patients…worries me that , this is what’s happening…As anyone else experienced this ? And for how long ? Good luck to everyone and quick recoveries hoped for…its not an easy fix.

That’s not a typical hip replacement, so I am not sure if you are experiencing the ‘sitting on a pile of golf balls’ feeling that so many of us experience, but that is usually when sitting down
I still get it occasionally at 6 months after revision, but it’s not too bad.
