Well I'm so pleased with my results from the specialist he said that I had only a real mild case of Bronchictasis he said my breathing was probably due because I was anxious he told me he will write to my own G P if ever I do get a infection then my doctor will prescribe antibiotics , he also wants to refer me to a physio to help me with my breathing so hopefully things will start getting 😀
That's fantastic news Jayne. Now you have a proper diagnosis.
Anxiety certainly can cause breathing problems too.
Let us know how you get on with the physio.
pleased for you (for some reason, your post has been truncated?)
Excellent news. Don't let them be complacent though. There are NHS guidelines for GPs which mine didn't follow and I believe contributed to the worsening of my condition. Good luck and hope you feel much better soon and get a good restful night sleep.
Yes I will x
Thank you x
That's great news Jayne. I'm sure once you meet with the physio's you'll feel better still. Hope all goes well for you.
Many thanks
That's great news Jayne
lets hope this is start to good times for you x
And I really hope you will get good times I wish you every luck x😀
That's wonderful news Jayne, so happy for you!
Thanks murphs hope all goes well for you .
Great news...
Great news Jayne. Have them show you how to use the acapella device. National Jewish Hospital had a respiratory therapist show me how to use it and it was godsend to aid in the expelling of the mucus. I did the this routine 5 times in each position and I did it twice a day.
1. Lay on your back with head elevated
2. Lay on each side
Take care.
Hi Jane. Can I ask how u found the private specialist? I am really confused by my symptoms. I was diagnosed with mild bronchiectasis 4 years ago. But was experiencing breathlessness and cynosis as well as constantly pale skin (people would ask me did i want to sit down). I am now getting gunk in my throat and am developing a cough. I dont have much faith in the NHS doctors (the physiotherapist told me when i was diagnosed that i was lucky to have caught it so early as ther were things i could do to slow its progress, but when I asked for a referral i was told it wasnt advanced enough for physiotherapist help)!
Hello sue I went to my own GP and asked him to refer me to one which was done through Bupa it's quite expensive though . My bronchiectasis is very tiny I luckily don't have many symtoms I did have trouble with my breathing but I think some of it could have been me being anxious I do get pains in the top of my back which comes and go , keep on at your doctor and tell him what you feel good luck with that wish you well .
Hi Jayne what symptoms did u have which caused u to ask for a referral?
Well I was getting pains in my lung area having trouble with my breathing doctor put in down to anxiety any cut the story short I decided to pay private for ct scan that is when they found the mild bronchiectasis so my doctor told me he would refer me to a chest speacialist but the wait was like 18 weeks so I paid for a private specialist I only had to wait 6 days .
