Hoping for a little insight on a issue Ive had for 3-4 months that comes and goes depending how I live day to day. Comes on whenever there is friction from protected sex or masturbation, friction is the main point here. No discharge, pain, itching, etc.If I dont have any friction it stays away...
Things that seem to help it are hydrocortisone and clotrimazole, never taken any antibiotic for it. If I dont treat it the skin can get scaly and dry and flakes a little.
I am a cyclist and it started when my season started this past year and never really got better. I do have sexual partners but never without a condom. NEVER.
A close friend who is a doctor on my cycling team says its balanitis, he recommend basically no sex and masturbation for 3-6 weeks. No soap and keep the area clean with water only.
Guess Im just asking to get a few more opinions...

I’am in the same situation, I’ts almost two years and not a proper solution was found, I’m supposing it could be related to an infection. I’ve been tested for STD and come back negative, everything. I just have stafilococcus on my glans and now enterococcus. Urine and sper colture come back negative. My girlfriend had stafilococcus aureus and cured it with antibiotics, but doctors said it was not infective, I’m terribly confused. I was afraid of a skin condition too, like Lichen sclerosus, but doctors ruled it out too.
The last doctor that I’ve seen told me it could be related to an infection.
I’ve been to 11 doctors:
-1 told me about lichen sclerosus and then changed his diagnosis with “just dryness”
- 9 Ruled out EVEYTHING and talk about a passed infection that left me damage skin and semen
- 1 that I visited this monday talk about INFECTION.
I’m confused.
