New to this site and a bit awkward... I've got this panic disorder that's been a physical response to SO many different traumatic experiences, events, habits... (etc.) (etc.) - It would take 800 million years to explain. I can confess though, it's been more than many have endured in an entire lifetime. On to the point. I am in desperate need of advice as to how to naturally curb these bouts of utter panic, helplessness, and physical symptoms: shaking, heart palp's, dizzyness, depression, so embarassed sometimes that I feel completely hopeless and embarassed. Please help! Eating, drinking, excersize and staying busy... yeah... none of that helped... meds dont help... "Not thinking about it", "letting it go"... waste of words. I need solid, proven advice... not sure where to turn...
Light therapy (Sun Box Company, et el) and fish oil (check for purity) have been proven effective against depression. For some, it is enough. For others, it may help, but not sufficient in and by itself. In which case, you may not be able to avoid drugs. Sorry. I have been looking for that solution for 40 years. I am in the latter category. It look a very long time for me to find the right drug. If one drug did not work, another might.
Thank you for the suggestion's! I am not too sure what Sun Box Company, et el is, if you could elaborate ... ? The med's help to take my mind off of it, but fail to curb the attacks. I have a phych. but there's way too much to tell, ... too many bad things have happened to me : Experiences that I can't even share with my fiance of 6 years. I'm hopeful there is SOMETHING : Maybe a certain meditation method, a routine, a particular food... a free online support group? see where my helplessness comes from?... Oye... I will try the fish oil for sure and report back with hopeful results... thank you again!
Sun light is a natural anti-depressent so when you are not able to get enough of it, you can feel despondent. The light box fills the gab for when you are not able to get your daily "fix", so to speak. The Sun box Company, where I first bought mine 20 years ago, is one of several good companies that sell them. Good luck. Chris
Hi, do you know what started your panic disorder? Finding the root cause usually will help reduce and manage the anxiety. Try do meditation for 15 mins daily. Keep a positive life, more panic attack is mainly due to negative thinking of something which wont or unlikely to happen.
If your condition continue, my suggestion for you is to seek professional advice, e.g see a doctor.
I've had these symptom since childhood a similar case but post traumatic stress disorder. After years of research I found that a shortage of magnesium can cause these symptoms to escalate. A great stress buster is magnesium, calcium, vitamin D and soya. For me it worked the same day. You can find out your RDA on these from the internet. I'm a different person.
