Stomach or in my head?

Hello,

I need some help. In April I had my first case of food poisoning/stomach bug. Previous to that I always had a very hardy stomach, but ever since I get nauseous very easily, fart and burp constantly, have occasional diarrhoea, the feeling of something stuck in my throat, and a burning feeling in my stomach.

Then in June I started feeling very nauseous and it quickly turned. I had a chill that began at my legs and went up my body, my teeth were chattering from how cold I was, i was peeing every five minutes, my heart beat was super fast and I had shortness of breath. This happened again two weeks later. After a trip to the A&E and some tests (ecg, blood, urine) they couldn't fine anything abnormal with me except that my heart rate was still to fast.  After speaking to twin GPs, I can safely say that these episodes were my anxiety on steroids, but I still worry so much about the stomach issues and I feel bad going to the doctor time and time again and taking up their time, specially if even the stomach issues are coming from my head too....

Does anyone know what these stomach issues could be or have experienced it before? I'm at my wits end and it's making life so much more difficult.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Your symptoms are not in your head.  Keep going back to your doctor and ask about h pylori, IBS, which can start after a stomach bug or food poisoning, and gastritis.  I had to go eight times to several doctors over a a period of three and a half months and as eventually diagnosed with IBS.  Anxiety and stress will aggravate your stomach more. Try a food diary to see if any foods are causing symptoms.

Hi Joojoo

How long have you been on steroids and what one are you on?...

Im not on steroids, it was a figure of speech, sorry. I take 7.5 mg  desogestrel and until two days ago 40mg fluoxetine, but now it's down to 20mg.
