Tension

How do get rid of tension ,it makes my anxiety so much worse am thinking if i can relax i will feel so much better .Have tried mindfulness and meditation but when i am so tense it doesn,t help at all ,tension causes me to feel giddy ,chest pains ,head pains , fidgetness cannnot even sit still and sleeplessness , lightheaded and feel like i am going to pass out ,feel cant get a proper breath, need something to take that helps quickly

when I get exercise several days a week, my tension diminishes greatly. The body was made to move and when it doesn’t, it tightens up, we can’t sleep right, etc. exercise releases endorphins from the brain which relaxes us and make us feel good.
sometimes if I can’t sleep I will take melatonin which is a natural substance. It works for me.
i Think if you got your breathing under control properly, you could relax more. Have you tried a breathing meditation?

Hi,
I suffer from tension too, especially at work which I believe may come from the atmosphere and the ‘energy’ emitted by other people of which I am very sensitive to. By the time I come home I find it quite difficult to talk to others, cannot think straight due to horrific brain fog and could not even contemplate dealing with any problems. Quite often after returning home from work, despite feeling awful I will go for a jog or to the gym which I feel greatly eases the tension and makes me feel like myself again. I am currently studying a distance learning course and thought it would be a good idea to take my books to work for revision, however my head feels like soup and cannot take anything in - i think this may be due to tension ?
