I posted here a few times before regarding my symptoms of hiv and std.
I took a anti-hiv and thra(syphilis) blood test today and both results came out negative.
I have to wait 2 weeks for chlamydia and gonorrhea and 1 week for hsv1/2.
I was accessed by the doctor and he highly suspect that it might be herpes, due to the growth that is able to fully heal on my penile shaft. Though the lesion is about to heal, the pain and itch around my genital area still persist. What can I do to cease the itch and pain if it really happens to be hsv2?
all this information is for if it is actually herpes, hsv 1 or 2:
if it is herpes, your doctor should perscribe you for valtrex. i take the valtrex as soon as i know i have an oubreak forming my doctor told me to take 3 a day for 10 days, your medication says to do different but my doctor is amazing so i listen to him and it’s usually painless in 3 days and gone by the 6th day completely. the valtrex will make the sores heal faster i know when i’m going to have an outbreak as i usually get a fever and sharp pain in my genital area. i suggest if you do have hsv1 or even 2 look out for signs like this, everyone is different on how their body reacts but if you know the signs that your about to have an outbreak you can start taking the valtrex to stop it straight away so the blister doesn’t become and open wound and hurt as much. i don’t know if of creams i’m sorry but i do know that itch means it’s healing as any sore as annoying as it is just don’t rub it as it will irritate the skin more.
if usually occurs when your immune system is done, like i currently have a cold and just found out i’m getting an outbreak.
however people breakout from exsercise, being sick, stressing, shaving the area, rough sex etc. everyone is different on how their body reacts.
so make sure what is happening to you or what you have been doing when you have one. you will eventually know what your body triggers to so you can prevent it.
i hope this information helps you or someone else reading this xx
I am very anxious while waiting for my results to be out, in another 1-2 weeks time and they will email me my results. The doctor actually not me that there isn't a need to do a hsv test as almost everyone have hsv. Is that true? But I just want to affirm if I have contracted the disease so I went ahead for the test.
And how does being hsv positive affects your daily life, or even family planning?
Hi,
I had a swob test to determine if I had it, I know blood tests are also good but they suggest swobs if you have a direct sore and its best determined.
it is true that a lot of people have HSV in their system and would never know. a lot of people might not ever have an outbreak it all just depends on their immue system really.
HSV is in the same family of chicken pocks but there is a vaccine for that so people don't think of it as a herpes because not many people know.
my daily life, I try not to think about it really. I only get a single outbreak sore which happens when I either stress or get sick. so I try and keep my immue system up and try not to stress heaps but everyones body is different people breakout for all different types of reasons. i do realize the signs of when im going to get one so then i start taking my Valtrex.
im single at the moment and have only had this for about 6 months, the person i caught it off turned into an absolute d******d so i blocked his number and deleted it and he was semi famous so doesn't even have social media for me to contact him on that so question him why he wouldn't tell me!
i do strongly worry about the future as to when i do find a decent guy and want to start a relationship with him what do i say/do/ if he will leave/if he will tell people. it really is hard so at the moment im not looking for anything or trying for anything. i still need to come to terms with it which is really hard for me because i have only told my mum. i am worried of being judged i wish i could say different,. being female there is a risk of having an outbreak during having a natural birth which doctors do suggest in that sense to have a C section because herpes are caught thought skin to skin contact and if you have an outbreak during a natural birth your at high risk of giving it your baby.
