THIS IS SO HORRIBLE! IBS?

Hello everyone I'm 15 boy with no bad family history. For 3 weeks I've been getting mucus itching bits of blood on stool itching mainly at night. I have no blood now but I've had this white pus mucus it was pale white and that's it. And it scared me the stool was fine it was just one medium lump kinda thing on it's own. Last night I did have the same but watery and it was a little yellow.

I've been to the doctors and have had a blood test and that came back normal and everything was clear. Which is good 😊

But now this is happening I feel like it's IBS or even IBD. The only symptoms I get now is just mucus and constipation and that's it. No pain or anything.

So what I'm asking is if someone could please help me and if anyone has this or know what it is. Thanks. I have taken a picture of the mucus to show a doctor. Thank you!

Also I forgot to mention I've been getting weird behaviour like not doing anything in school and just can't be bothered for a couple of days.

If you feel the problem is still causing problems ask for a bowel inspection. Sorry the actual name of the test seems to have left me at this time.

I used to suffer FIssures  and Piles, the former could be sorted as the test was undertaken. Talk to your GP.

BOB

Thankyou BOB what is a bowel inspection?

The bowel inspection you could ask for is a colonoscopy.  .However, the blood and itching may be from haemorrhoids or fissures.  The doctor may do a fecal calprotectin test first to check for inflammation.

Hi, mucous is natural but a lot of mucous could be a sign of irritation, the Human body produces it for things like colds, coughs, in the gut it acts as a lubricant but a lot of it may be down to irritation, do you eat food that may irritate or notice problems when you eat certain foods, never easy sorting diet out, check out the FODMAP diet online it list foods that are problematic.

Hi, if you have a colonoscopy it will likely show no problems, they don't really diagnose IBS they check there's nothing wrong and then say your problem is IBS, it's a syndrome without a cause usually.

Factors like infections, food poisoning and stress are well known causes of IBS.

Hi, yes I agree, I was sort of referring to a definite link, the things you stated could trigger IBS but they maybe resolved and you still have IBS, I had a bad infection ended up with sepsis loads of antibiotics which I reckon triggered my IBS, but I also have a redundant colon which also my be the cause.

Thankyou everyone that's answered I don't eat healthy really

You certainly have a triple whammy of stomach problems.  I suspect IBS hangs on after the original triggers have gone because the nerves in the stomach are very sensitive and can become easily damaged.

Hi, I also have Rheumatoid arthritis and Tinnitus in both Ears, not after any sort of sympathy, I see the cup as half full, and there are many many people much worse off than me, I'm in my sixties and acquired these health problems after forty, so I escape two thirds of my age unscathed, I reckon it's far worse having health problems when young.

Hi,

Try to eat healthily and get some good quality probiotics.  Buy them from a health food shop not the supermarkets or high street chains because they are not very good and are a waste of money.

Good luck!

I picked up IBS at 42 and I sailed through life with no previous health problems either.
