What a relief it is

I'm 2 days post op on my tkr revision and my leg feels so much better. There's pain associated with the surgery but nothing like it was. I was so stiff because of the heavy scar tissue build up and stretched ligaments. I'm on my cpm machine whenever I'm not up and around to keep the scar tissue from generating. I do my ankle pumps too. I'm already over 100 degrees rom I am so optimistic about my recovery this. Be blessed!

Was much the same, now 3 weeks post op, have been walking without crutches for over a week, had staples removed and moving on well.

Just a note of caution, I was in the car for a return journey of 4 hours and the next day at PT I felt I'd gone back a week or more.  Also remember to rest and not push too hard - I used to play rugby at a reasonably high level and kept fit, this is good in terms of motivation but my doctor said do not do anything that hurts.

Hi Philhuud

So glad you're on the right track. You will get there.

Good luck, keep in touch.

All the best

100 degress after 2 days. Good heavens. It took me 6 weeks to get to 90 degrees and I only just made it in time for my 6 week follow up appointment. That was nearly 5 years ago.

Happy to say the TKR was a complete success. It is like having my life back.

I remember waking up the morning afterthe op and knowing that all that arthritic pain had gone. Yes ofcourse I had post op pain but that was different.

Onwards and upwards.

Take care and keep in touch

Sarah

I'm so happy for you! It's wonderful to hear!!

Doing too much too soon is probably what caused me to have a set back. I'm not going to rush at all this time. Thank you for the encouragement!

Great to hear that your revision was such a success!🙋😊😁🙋

Keep eating well, drinking plenty of water, STRETCHING, and above all KEEPING your positive outlook!

Enjoy your relief from lots of pain!😊

Thank you for the encouragement!

I started PT Monday and I have made good progress. 1 week post op and I have 95 rom and 10 flexion. I am in a little bit more pain but I know that comes with having revision surgery. I'm feeling real good about my recovery.
