¿Qué otras condiciones médicas más tradicionales son causadas por el tinnitus severo?

I suffer as everyone else with tinnitus. What more traditional medical, mental, emotional conditions are caused by long term tinnitus? The tinnitus is relentless, my life changed the moment i heard it. Thanks.

First of all, I would like to know, how severe your tinnitus is? If your tinnitus is severe it can lead to number of serious health issues like Meniere’s disease , a condition that causes hearing loss and vertigo , a spinning sensation.

Hello Chris66128: Mt tinnitus is a high pitch, swirling like sound as if it’s trying to travel but cant go anywhere. It also sounds like someone is letting the air out of a tire, in combination with the variable pitch, which does sound like multiple frequencies running at same time. When it really goes into aggressive mode it’s so loud for days and night at a time. It never goes away. I’ve been to ENT’s, one who was simply put rude and said “You have tinnitus, that;s life, live with it”. I was in the hospital and one neurologist said “It’s nothing more than ANNOYANCE”.

I was checked d several times for Meniere’s and is negative. My best compare to something so torturous
Is Torture it’s self is usually used as a tool to make one suffer to breaking point, so they tell all to the torturer knowing that the severe agony ends by breaking.
The sad part about my tinnitus (and others I’m sure) is when you reach your limits and want the torture to stop… There is no one to say "ok, ill say or tell you what you want from one, just stop the torture, meaning there is no stopping the torture, tinnitus is an antagonist, without motive seeking behavior change to stop the torture. So throw “hope it will stop” out the window.

I’ve tried everything mri tests, ents, ontologists, pschycologist, white noise, habitualization, ignoring it, embracing it and none of these things work.

Out of respect for others in my life, I ended relationship as I learned I couldn’t contribute, participate pay appropriate attention and love her the way she deserves. I can’t concentrate on either work or hobbies that I love.
It’s a slow steady endlessness of losses. I keep re adapting to tolorating my tinnitus every 20 seconds, recylling my ability to keep going. Sleeplessness creates exaustion (which for me is 3 days) and then I flat out pass out for a few hours before I start all over again. The medical industry process for tinnitus is obsolete, we don’t have 3 months to go the medical specialist’s cycle, only to find that there isn’t anything to do but live with it.

I know there is no cure but treat symptoms that aggrevate the inability to lower the agonizing effects/affects of the ear (tinnitus) Thank you for letting me write to you.

im sorry it didnt publish the end of it, I must of went too far word count…figures. Thank you though.

Hi Gink

So sorry you are suffering. It is possible to habituate and completely forget about it, it took me 2 years but I had a lot of help from a genius audiologist.
Don’t let it define you and it takes a lot of time and focus.
Good luck

Hi, i was diagnosed with Mennieres over 30 years ago. At that point my tinnitus only really happened when my Mennieres kicked off, like a warning signal that I was about to collapse.

Now, 30 years on, I have constant tinnitus in both ears. It is a high pitched buzz in both ears and never stops. It really gets me down.

I have found techniques that help to distract me but that is temporary. I find listening to radio or music while wearing ear buds can distract me for a while but there does not seem to be a cure.

I have had loads of clinic visits and been through loads of tests but no real cure.

If you have found anything that has worked for you then I would love to hear your advice.

TIA
