Wow I have just had my first shower since my op, oh boy did it feel good....... scar looks amazing and clean, hair is now squeaky lol. Feel human at last..... another step in the right direction. I am now going to rest for a while...
Aaaah I remember it well. I am allowed to try a bath as of today but living alone think I will give it a miss. Did too much yesterday and groin is complaining but a couple of paracetamol will sort me out before a short walk.
Gill you seem to be doing well and probably aided by your bubbliness. It must be difficult for those who suffer regular blues. My main issues still are bending and squatting, had presumed at 12 weeks I would be back to normality but Mr Hip says 6 months to a year but of course I did not believe him- surgeon knows best I have learned especially after 15 years of specialising in primary and hip revision. Bless him, guess he has the Tshirt and seen the movie.

That must be so refreashing gilcat. I don't have a shower so still sitting in a chair just doing body washes. I would so love to at least have a have a bath after 8 weeks. 
Hello Hailea. I do have a walk in shower installed ready for post op and it has been a godsend. Today I am 12 weeks and now allowed a bath but living alone worry I may have difficulty getting out. Getting up off the floor is not easy so feel getting out of a confined space will prove problematic
Make sure someone is with you when you try
well done Gillcat, I couldn't bear the thought of wet wipes when they told me about no shower in bath etc. so I had a cubicle put in, I can imagine how good you feel! sit down and have a cup of tea, youv'e earned it, have a great day,

I'm so pleased that you're coming on in leaps and bounds. Soon you'll be back down Cliffe en Howe?!
I'm doing lots of walking up and down our road, round the garden etc. Had my dressing off on Monday but still glued, saw the physio on Wednesday. Loving this sunshine!

Hi Anna, so glad your improving, I feel great. Haven't been down the road yet, keep going uphill makes you work a bit harder 
. I had staples out thursday but don't see physio until next week. Keep on walking
