2 month post op and doing great!

Today is a great day! I could not be happier about my recovery from THR on March 10th.

I can do so much more than i could before. Walking is awesome. Putting on socks and shoes is such a great thing to not ask for help anymore.

I was weeding my garden yesterday and completely bending over pulling weeds and touching the ground. That's a first in like 15 years.

I will be getting my left one replaced within this year. It isn't as bad as myright one is but i can tell it's a hinderance in ways. Like not being able to get up off the ground without something near by to help hoist myself up. That's one of my goals to be able to do.

If i knew what i know now of how my recovery would be like it is now. I wouldn't of worried so much prior of surgery. Because it's been an excellent recovery.

I'm doing everything again that i couldn't do before surgery. It's going to be a great summer full of camping and fishing. Traveling will be a breeze.

Life is good and fun to live.

Never give up on you. Forward march march.

Sincerely Sherri

take care and carry on enjoying lifelol

Hi akawestie,

Yes, it totally agrees with me. I am going to be a young 54 in July. I have degenerating joint disease and i have been putting off as long as i could to have my hips fixed to a point where i lost my mobility and was in a wheel chair for a year at one point. The surgeons wouldn't touch me as far as THR because i was 100 lbs. over weight. I got the weight off and then was able to get out of the wheel chair and build some mobility back before my surgery. I have came a long way since then.

As long as you do everything that the surgeons tell you to do pre-op and post-op, you'll be just fine.

Thank you for the best wishes. Wishing you a successful surgery and recovery.

Sincerely, Sherri
