hi all... ive quite drinking for a few months due to episodes of AFib. but last night celebrated the holiday early. i had 3 VERY strong liquor drinks and within a couple hours had a racing heart that kept me up most of the night. it was regular but fast and felt faint all at the same time. im wondering if I put myself at risk... i fear cardiac arrest alot. i don't have heart diease but still today my heart feels all over the place. anyone else have similar stories? im definitely not Drinking anymore... just not worth it
Same here!! I have PVCS and anxiety. Woke up great this morning then had 2 drinks at a BBQ and my heart felt like it was gonna jump out of my chest and felt sick to my stomach. No more drinking for me!!!

Sounds like its just anxiety. If you’ve already been checked and got an all clear nothing wrong with your heart I would say that is all it is, those are prime symptoms of anxiety. And when you are feeling anxious it causes you to hyper focus things that you worry about such as heart rate, breathing, etc. If you feel that it is something more definitely get checked but I’ll bet that its just that nasty old anxiety.
