More information on it can be found at
www.pmr-gca-northeast.org.uk - and click on the DVD link you can read all about it. The rest of the site is informative as well.
Our thanks go to the people who founded this website, 'Patients Experience'
We met on here in August 2007 and then found a few others.
Result - a National Charity, more support groups (Tayside, Southend and East Anglia existed previously)
Two of us who resided in n the North East met a third lady.
The result is a DVD made by people with PMR and GCA, with Consultant Rheumatologists, Opthamologist, Pharmacists, Dietician, Physio and PATIENTS.
And our Support Group and website.
Ta 'Pats' as we call you. The best place in the world for information.
Tired, on a high (side effect) so no sleep just yet - but very very happy
:D
Thank you Mrs K for all you do I think you need a good rest now !!
I was very lucky with my first bout of PMR in 2002 which lasted 2 years but this time around I am so glad I have found this site and of course then the PMRfighters North East as it has definately been a roller coaster physically and emotionally
There is always someone here with help advice congratulations and commiserations and tea and sympathy ( or a glass of wine !!)
Thank you again for everything you do and now try and look after yourself a bit !!

Hi everyone out there!
I was at the Centre for Life in Newcastle on Wednesday (I think I can claim to be the furthest travelled there, northern Italy to Newcastle, about 850 miles!
). MrsK and co had done a fantastic job and the day was very well attended and lots of interesting stuff came up.
Three cheers for MrsK and co, they'll need a few days rest now and it's very well deserved!

We are recovering, two of us have pmr and I have gca and its recovery time.
The North East website should have details on it within the week.
Sorry, Mrs.K I didn't mean to hassle. Look forward to buying it when it is available. Have a well-earned bit of you time. Betty

You are not hassling, not ever, no-one on this site hassles.
If I was you I would have asked the same question. And wanted one as well.
We just did not think to update the website ready for the launch on 12 May.
Those that were able to attend left there Names and Addresses and since then email requests - so we will get there. Never did the three of us think we would be going into postage and packaging business. Life takes some funny turns.
If it is not on the website by 22 May - email us via our website.
Take care
