Thank God for restaurants! All my friends seem have decided that they should pick me up at the door and wheel me into an eating establishment. It's bliss! Eating has become my number one activity. Forget skiing, hiking, camping etc ---,bring me the menu! And my elasticated maxi skirts hide all the problems.
(This is meant to be light-hearted!). I am 2 weeks post op.
Enjoy your rehab. Of course we are not well enough to iron, cook, etc, but there is a great steak house down the road!
Whooee - time to start sending us reviews!
Enjoy. And good luck with your recovery.

Love this! I, too, enjoyed restaurants so very much, because I could sit down while partaking. Bon appetit!
Hi Margaret

Wishing you well!
I'll be 1 week tomorrow post op. You have made me smile. We will hire a wheelchair and go out to lunch on Sunday. Thank you Margaret . Here's to a good recovery. X

Ha ha - exactly !!!!! My friends just bring copious amounts of gorgeous food to my door, my husband is an excellent chef and obviously it would be too rude to refuse . Enjoy - we will have to do a post THR fight the flab forum soon. Xxxx love Malloo
Glad you are enjoying my bit of fun!
Oh dear, yesterday I actually felt well enough to do some washing up. But that is a
Slippery slope ! Once started I can't go back ----so I sat and watched a bit of tele.
My husband is a hero!
Am I being really naughty to hide the fact that I feel heaps better?
Make the most of it !!!!!!
Hi margaret,
you lucky devil you ---- I live in the woods somewhere out in the country with no restaurants in miles !!!!
definitely enjoy -
cheers darling

Hahaha that is funny Magaret, but oh so true also. I have been eating a lot of restaurant food lately. My son said one day "oh I am so happy we are eating out more often", because he loves it. I told him don't get too use to it is only because it bothers me to stand for to long and do all the cooking...hahaha....Yeah trying to be careful what I eat, but still hard not to eat to much fattening things eating out. Good luck with your healing. I am just a little bit ahead of you at 3.5 weeks post op...Barb
Absolutely. Make the most of it. I intend to!🍰🍷
consider yourself in good shape. I had no appetite from my surgery on... and food makes me sick. I drink protein drinks and protein bars, cereal and fruit. I've gone from 174 down to 135 and losing that weight? Must have lost muscle because my hip is killing me... just simple steps are torture. I might have something not right/?? LOL
I'll talk to my GP - sounds like you're enjoying yourself though...week 2 is fun
Oh, and keep track of the friends as they drop one at a time... "too busy" "have hair appt." "can you ask someone else?" - I live alone.. and that's what happened to me. I had a house of friends... then they sorta get tired of you talking about your hip or stitches or pain or PT. Believe me LOL!!! So, this is a good place to talk hippie talk..
Gosh ... I had a lousy appetite for a while but came out of it by week 6 (once injections were finished ... could there be a link😆?)
But I did not lose Tha much. I hope you are doing okay.
As for your friends ... maybe rent a good film or concert and ask them to bring treats. That way the focus is off you and you still get the distraction and good company.
We will always be available online for the hippie talk!
Hugs,
L
Yes, but that is when you play your second card ,never have you had so much time
to keep up with current events politically or on the tele. You don't have time to talk
about yourself. I am more informed about the damned referendum in England than
anyone . And I know all the soap opera storylines!
Accentuate the positive, while keeping taking the tablets
Good post Margaret!
And I would appreciate your take on the referendum. ...( we haven't had much coverage of your 'conversations' here.
I truly enjoyed the clip posted on FB recently by Patrick Stewart and friends - definitely worth a look see if you haven't viewed ir.
