Has anyone else experienced weekly headaches that just seem to last no matter how much sleep you get or water you drink? I also have neck pain in which I have already seen both chiropractor and physical therapist for. When I have these headaches, I feel pressure behind my ways so intense I can't stand bright lights. On top of all this I am dizzy, however, my balance is totally fine. I have already been to an ENT specialist and had an MRI, etc. Only thing I haven't moved onto is a neurologist because I already am racking up my medical bills and yes I have health insurance but a crappy one at that! Please help. Has anyone else been experiencing this and if so, what did you do to rid it?
Much appreciated!
I have the same symptoms and have had them for a year now. I get head pressure in back of head and pain along with stiff and tension in neck. It causes nausea and lightheadedness. I have had Mri, catscan, all types of test. Been to ent and neurologist and still no clue. I am starting to think either circulation or autoimmune related. Very weird. I also have my neck and top of head are ice cold to touch
Tension headaches or possible migraines. I'm currently in the middle of a tension headache period right now myself and I hate it. I've had mine for three months, they last all day. it's only completely left me alone for about 4 weeks but when it's here if makes me hurt and I. Get cranky because it bothers me and I get so dizzy and nauseous sometimes and ugh I know it's a scary feeling but all you have to do it lower your stress levels. It's usually caused by depression, anxiety or simply just by tensing up your muscles. Remember your scalp has muscles that tense up with your neck muscles
I recently started yoga which is supposed to help with the relaxation of the mind and muscles but I just don't know what else to do? What do you do to help your symptoms and relax?
Mine feels more like little zinger pains shooting from back of head to top of head along with stiff neck and nausea. Even had times when feels like blood pressure drops. Anyone ever expierenced the cold to touch sensation on neck and head.
I was going to suggest yoga as well. I had been having constant headaches and a lot of shoulder/neck pain. Countless visits to the doctors but there was no solution.
I've been doing yoga and the pain has reduced significantly. Apparently it was stress that caused a hormone and acid imbalance (according to the yoga instructor).
Anyway it's working so far and I hope it works for you too!
There's really not much else to do but just try and relax and forget about it. If you keep thinking about it, it'll stay there. Just try and not let it consume you. I haven't found anything that helps me other than just trying to forget about it. Try using a muscle pain relieving cream like Bengay or Vic's vapor rub on your temples and your neck. That help ease the tension sometimes
That sounds like a migraine to me. Your head can make you feel so many weird littke feelings when you're anxious about it and when you continue thinking about it. Sometimes I just feel a pressure in my temple, sometimes it's a pressure all around, sometimes it comes from my neck, sometimes it's just a burning pain, it ranges from different feelings, the nausea, well considering I'm constantly worrying about it, it's no surprise that my anxiety makes me nauseous most of the time lol
Hi have u heard off Migraine Associated Vertigo or Vestibular Migraine. I've had this fir over 3 yrs same symptoms daily chronic headaches dizziness neck shoulder pain full ear head pressure. I was referred to a specialist up london and after all inner ear testing I was diagnosed with this. Ive beeb on many prevention meds about 10 but finally found Amitripyline and Propranolol helped me the most. My headaches are so much better now as been on meds nearly 3 yrs and thank god leading a normal lifrom again. So ask your gp or specialist about this x
And also neck shoukder pain ache is all relayed to headaches and migraines I was only told this wk by my specialist.
Hi! I really feel for you. I started having these symptoms in Spring of 2014 and have not had much relief. Yes, every test done on earth, an ENT headache specialist told me this was what is called a combination Tension/Migraine Headache, and recommended a preventative medication...I don't recall now what it was unfortunately, but I took it for 2 months last summer and I was a zombie. I still had symptoms in the fall and my new MD prescribed Verapamil, it's a high blood pressure med, and I don't have high blood pressure, but this med is a vascodilator so she was prescribing it as a preventative. I have been taking it since October and it seemed to work the first few months,I only would have these neck pain/sinus pressure/dizziness/nausea/lethargy maybe 2 times a month. But, my symptoms have returned since May, on an almost daily basis. I also have to say I do think there is a link with stress, because I had series of job interviews in May, got a job, and now I had to move 900 miles this summer to a completely new environment, and I have these symptoms all the time. I am not sure there is a single curative. I do yoga, and at least when I am there I don't notice my symptoms. I also just started working out again, because I think exercise is helpful generally, but yes, hard to even do when one is so dizzy. I want to lie down all the time, but that doesn't help my mood (dealing with depression) at all. I think the other posts that recommend yoga and also just trying to live with it are probably good advice. After a year of feeling desperate, out of my mind with what is this going on, I try to ignore it. I will also add one last thing: try homeopathic Belladonna pills. I started using them in May and when I start to feel the pressure and pain I take 3 and sometimes it takes care of it right away, other times I have to take another 3-4 after an hour. It is safe to take (go to an herbalist or holistic med place) and is worth a try. Good luck to you, you are not alone with this-
Anyone notice during this head pressure and neck soreness that there neck and head are cold to touch.
Shari, I have tried everything under the sun as well and spent hundreds of dollars on vitamins, heathly foods, and doctor visits. I went from being very active (running, lifting weights, etc) and eating healthy to not being able to do any of these due to my neck pain and dizziness. I literally feel like a zombie some days. It is like there is so much going on that I feel exhausted all the time. My dizziness along with increased neck pain occurred last fall and nothing seems to help. I have zero inner ear issues and such. I am trying hard not to feel down and defeated or worried for that matter. I just want to be myself again..thanks for feeling my pain with me. It helps to know I am not alone...although I wish we didn't feel this way anymore or at least knew why!
I never noticed? That is strange...
Michelle, I thought about asking my doctor to prescribe some type of migraine medication for me but I really like to avoid meds like the plague because I don't want to rely on something I am not certain is curing me or just masking the pain....I want real, natural, relief. I tried physical therapy and chiropractic care...nothing seems to help. It is only temporary and I can't take pain killers because I have a history of ulcers.
The only way forward I'd prevention meds. I've suffered 3 yrs with chronic daily headaches. The first yr I wasent on anything I was in a terrible state as I wasent diagnosed. I didn't start getting better and relieve till I started prevention meds. Yes I also hated taking meds still do but my life is so much better and increased my hrs at work to. I do everything now what I used to do before I got this illness. I also tried many herbal supplements nothing helped or helps as much as previously meds. I still take vitamin B2 magnesium everyday but there not enough. I only take these as drs say they don't harm u taking these abd can help a bit. I've also started Gopo it's a supplement with exellent reviews which help aches pains. They certainly helping me with my neck shoukder aches and pains which I know some off my headaches get worse when my shoulders neck ache sp u coukd also try them. Look on amazon at there reviews x
Hi Tony2010
I do not think this is the same as I am getting because with Cluster Headaches it is what they say they only come in clusters and last approximateley one hour and fifteen minuetes each attack and for a few months then go away mabe fpor annother few months.
So I am sorry I cannot help you but I realy hope you can relate to someone who is feeling the same.
Hope you get better soon
I really think u shoukd ask your gp about vestibular Migraines. You certainly have most off the symptoms for it. I had all whst u had when I was very bad 3 yrs ago.
