hi guys I have suffered with anxiety for years and I have been under mass amounts of stress and I'm 19 and overweight. I have been having this stop start feeling in my chest which I guess is called a pvc or a heart palpation the other day I had 3 kinda back to back that were very strong. I've been getting them alot lately but I'm super hyper focused on my heart and there being something wrong I have had a total of 3 EKG and one being 2 days ago and it came back normal, and well my dr was listening she said my heart sounded beautiful. she did order a 48 hour holter monitor to see if they could see the pvc and she gave me anxiety meds which seem to have helped. I never get dizzy or faint or any weird things maybe a little bit of a catch in my breath but I think that's due to the adrenaline when they happen scaring me. my aunt had the same issue and they said hers was stress. sometimes there super small and weak other times it feels like my heart is legit stopping and starting back up but again I've never fainted or had pain or been dizzy. does anyone else go through this ???
sounds like anxiety i have palpatations and rapid heart beat every day but ignore it. the more attention you give it the worse it becomes
how do you try not give it attention when it can be so intense im struggling here lately with palpitations
just tell yourself it will pass. go with it, accept it and occupy your mind. mine can be extremely bad
ive been trying my best i have noticed it more when im sat down relaxed just dont get why ive suddenly had them bad this week and constant
do you think maybe coronavirus anxiety?
yes, these are all common symptoms of anxiety and nothing to worry about. what meds for anxiety are you on? going to your doctor and getting the proper tests done was an excellent choice and a great start. you are going to be just fine and you are NOT going to die. now, you just have to be patient and let those anxiety meds work. depending on what he gave you, it can take two to three weeks to feel the full effectiveness of those meds. but i can tell you more if i know for sure what he gave you. i have been sufferering from anxiety disorder for twenty years, and on and off different meds, so i have a clue about how effective they are. you need to stop being so overly obsessive about your heart, you are not going to die and the tests proved that. so you are a little overweight, not big on excercise and probably have a poor diet also, okay, join the club. its nothing to feel bad about, we are who we are and being overly worried about things only heightens our anxiety. i think you are going to be just fine, and thats exactly what i want you to tell yourself. you are not alone and there are many of us out there. try to think positive thoughts. let me know how you make out
prozac
bingo!!! we just found your problem. Prozac, as known as fluoxitine (mainly in UK) has a long list of side effects including but not limited to, sleep problems, strange dreams, headaches, vision changes, dizziness, tremors or shaking, anxiety or nervousness, pain, weakness, feeling tired, stomach problems, loss of appetite, yawning, vomiting, nausea, diarehea, dry mouth, sweating and hot flashes. any of these side affects sound familiar to you?
ask you doctor for something else. get off this medication, its making your anxiety worse. drink lots of water, eat lots of fruits and vegetables to flush your system. they may be some withdrawal symptoms coming off this medication. ask your doctor for a crutch (like xanex, adavan, konopin) to get you over the hump and withdrawal symptoms. hope this helps
I've never had an issue with it before the palpitations were before the medication. it showed up as the best medicine that worked for me
do your palpatations feel like it's almost like pausing for a sec then you feel a hard thump?
you may need a supplement to the Prozac, a little extra push. i take a supplement to my Lexepro and although i feel fine on Lexepro, the doctor gave me a little extra push with Latuda and now i feel great. anti anxiety meds just curb the symptoms of anxiety, dont completely eliminate them, so its possible to have anxiety symptoms while medicated. Have the doctor either up your dose, or supplement it.
