For a month now ive been having really bad aches in my legs and im thinking the worse!! They ache my entire both legs! Like if i had done who knows how much exercise! I panic everyday because im thinking the worse! I have an appointment with a neurologist tomorrow, lets see what she says!! Im scared!! Anyone feels the same?? Can this be only anxiety???
im feeling the exact same leg pains right now too! it doesnt feel the best but im 99% sure its due to our anxiety. anxiety creates the most oddest of symptoms (ex: sometimes my toes feel slightly numb like what?) but we could just be holding a lot of tension in our legs. let me know what your doctor says, im sure youll be fine :)
how did your appointment go?
well apparently its either anxiety or fibromyalgia! My leg pain has subsided but they still feel achy at times! and when i get up they feel weak! and just the weirdest sensations ever! I HATE ANXIETY!!! i live with it in a daily basis and i am so unhappy!!!!
I completely agree! My neuro health anxiety started with this exact symptom 3 years ago. Right around this time. I started waking up with tight legs slightly sore but mostly tight. Then did the ultimate no and googled. MS popped up and literally the next day twitching started , then tingling, cold sensation, numbness! I still have twitches till this day but learn to ignore. I hate anxiety and how it ruins our lives
today she called me and told me shes referimg me to a reumatologist because my inflamation level test came back to high! great one more thing to worry about!
After a health scare 3 months ago my legs started to become numb and tingly, almost constantly. About 6 weeks ago it changed to a constant tightness in my calves. I've had all the tests and the most they can come up with is B12 deficiency (now reversed) or anxiety. It seems while there's a slightest possibility of something serious I latch onto it.
Here are a few symptoms of PAD and MS my therapist asked me to check and to see which ones I had (which is just one symptom of each)! Despite that I then think I have something else serious...
PAD is pain in one or both calves, thighs, or hips The pain usually occurs while you are walking or climbing stairs and stops when you rest. person with arterial claudication will experience no discomfort atrest, but pain after a few minutes of walking. It usually is a dull, cramping pain. It may also feel like a heaviness, tightness, or tiredness in the muscles of the legs When the blood vessels in the legs are completely blocked, leg pain at night is very typical Buttock pain Numbness, tingling, or weakness in the legs Burning or aching pain in the feet or toes while resting A sore on a leg or a foot that will not heal One or both legs or feet feel cold or change colour (pale, bluish, dark reddish) Loss of hair on the legs The absence of a pulse in the legs or the arms PAD ABI test ok results affects 1 in 5 people over 60 An ABI above 0.90 is normal; 0.70-0.90 indicates mild peripheral vascular disease; 0.50-0.70 indicates moderate disease; and less than 0.50 indicates severe peripheral vascular disease. (My result is 1.25.)
MS vision problems(had an eye test recently and was fine) tingling and numbness (Common sites of numbness include the face, arms, legs, and fingers). This often takes the form of numbness or tingling in different parts of your body, such as the arms, legs or trunk, whichtypically spreads out over a few days pains and spasms weakness or fatigue balance problems or dizziness bladder issues - more frequent urination sexual dysfunction cognitive problems hearing loss seizures uncontrollable shaking breathing problems slurred speech trouble swallowing constipation women are 2 to 3 times more likely to develop it A neurologist will look for abnormalities, changes or weakness in your vision (no), eye movements (no), hand or leg strength (no), balance and co-ordination (no), speech and reflexes (No). Neuropathic pain is caused by damage to your nerves, and is usually sharp and stabbing. It's most commonly diagnosed in people in their 20s and 30s, although it can develop at any age MS itself is rarely fatal, but complications may arise from severe MS, such as chest or bladder infections, or swallowing difficulties. The average life expectancy for people with MS is around 5 to 10 years lower than average, and this gap appears to be getting smaller all the time.
you have MS or just a scare?
Don't have it as far as I know, those two conditions are just worries that my legs indicate the conditons. Fortunately I only have one symptom of both. I posted them as they could be reassuring to you if you don't have the other symptoms, if those conditions are what you are worried your symptoms could mean.
