Hello my name is Daniel. For the past week I have had these shooting pains to my head. They r not constant just these shooting pains all over my head. I’m also constantly lightheaded or spaced out feel like a pressure on my head. Anyways I went to my doctor terrified of brain issues and stuff and he told me not possible. I’m going for an mri however he told me not too as I’ve had 2 already 5 years ago . He believes it’s anxiety someone please help me!!
I also hv that. Like zap ini my head. Sometimes in the left back of my brain, sometimes in the right. They're come and go. I didn't go to Dr for that. I went for my shaky hands.

Your Doctor is correct to many scans can be bad for your health, We all need minimal exposure given that and the fact you are still young scans and Xrays should only be done as the need arises. You need to trust your Specialists and your Family Doctor.
The condition you describe sound like Anxiety, the pains are far to extensive to by anything dangerous and it seems your Doctor has tried to explain that to you.
Headaches can also be caused by stress as well so you need to discuss your problems, without the need for tests with your Doctor and He may be able to treat the actual cause of your problems
Are you taking examinations or is there anything wrong at home, or your environment, like friends, girlfriends etc.
Come to terms with your health anxiety, approach your fears and concerns and that will help you move on

Thanks for the responses I’m freaking out right now!!!! My left pinky is twitching I have a pressure all on my head and I’m lightheaded I’m convinced it’s a brain tumour I’m having twitching too please help
Hi Daniel sounds awful! Do you have any pressure in your ears at all and does the dizzy stay or does it come and go?
No ringing just head pressure mostly forehead and light head was and muscle twitching I’m convinced it’s something wrong with my brain, the problem is how many mri can i go for I had one 5 years ago. How can this be anxiety lightness was all day forehead pressure hard time thinking I’m losing my mind

You have had your tests and you need to consider the reasons why you feel the need for extensive testing.

Many tests given in total moderation can find problems associated with Brain Conditions, however having multiple tests are counter productive and can lead to severe health problems, when you start having scans over an extended period

Hi Daniel,
I had head pressure and severe debilitating syptoms for 2 months. Constant head pressure for me was all day and night. It is now just starting to subside as I lessen my stress. Be assured there is nothing wrong with your brain as the symptoms you describe do not match up with brain tumors. Are you throwing up or off balance?
No throwing up or off balance just non stop lightheadness and twitching near temple and forehead pressure, I hate this because it feels like something is wrong with my brain
The reason why asked about pressure round your ears is because you could have labrynthitis, it’s nothing serious at all so don’t worry it’s a vital infection in your inner that causes really bad dizzy spells/ light headed symptoms and also pressure in your head, I had it over Christmas and it lasted about 3 months!! I’d convinced myself I had a brain tumour 🙈😩
I’m not dizzy, more lightheaded like out of it. And I have forehead pressure I’m scheduled for an mri next week but my dr said it’s not necessary I don’t know what to do I feel terrible how can anxiety make me feel this sick

You do not need another MRI.....yes , it probably is an anxiety issue.Perhaps a low dose klonazepam would help.....as well if you have been taking any type of SSRI ,you could be getting zaps from withdrawal,....and finally ,....the doctors do not tell you about the side effects your meds can cause---lightheadedness is a common side effect. look up DRUGS.COM and other sites by typing in your medicines and reading the possible side effects.....and then write down the ones you experience. report it to your doctor. If he doesn't agree, or lower your dose, or change your med.....get another doctor. Take some ASA for the head pains,....headaches are common under stress......cheer up,.....you'll be ok..........

Hi Daniel I’ve got the exact same thing right now, I’ve had it about a week, it comes and goes, I think mine is with anxiety though as I have my first MRI scan on Saturday and I’m dreading it!

No, I’m going for the MRI for dizziness that I’ve had since Christmas Eve, I was diagnosed with labrynthitis a few months ago but the dizziness isn’t going and it’s given me really bad anxiety
