Hi, I have noticed this reddish area that looks like red spots and varies in colour depending on the rest of my penis. I have also found these two small spots on the glans, one near the opening and one just on the right side of the glans. These all occurred around 3 days a go and I thought I would wait to see if they vanished after a day but they haven't. I am not sexually active and the only habit that I have changed is that I am not masturbating, but I don't suppose that would be a factor.
Any advice is appreciated as I am becoming more worried. Thanks.
I forgot to mention, I have no symptoms other than visual ones. No itching or pain or anything, which is why I am so confused. I assumed balanitis as I have had that before, but non of the other symptoms have followed.
This looks most like irritation you get with sexual contact - such as a yeast / fungal infection or bacterial infection.
It is possible to develop yeast / fungal issues without sexual contact, but this is most often linked to poor hygiene issues - such as not washing and showering regularly, weraing the same underwear for many days, or perhaps, if you are an active person and do physical training, say early in the day, sweat quite a bit, then leave the same shorts on for the rest of the day this can cause an issue.
The other thing you may have is a dermatological reaction going on - check whether you have changed soap, shower gel or even washing powder or whatever your clothes are cleaned in recently
