hey all, i am going threw a really bad time atm amd finding no joy in living i have fealt like this for a long time but recently have felt so much worse i have no one that understands and an close to giving up.
sorry you are going through this. It can be very difficult to feel that way. I know the feeling, it feels like you’re in a dark hole.
But I just want you to know that there is absolutely help for you. There’s great support. People that can help you manage this so that you feel better. Have you ever considered speaking with a counselor? It really helps and feels good to vent to somebody and they want to help. you could even do virtual counseling sessions. another thing to consider is medication to help relieve the depression.
you Can find free or very low cost counseling through community centers, schools, places of worship, universities, etc.
theres ALWAYS Hope! there’s always support!Reach out because you were put on this earth for a reason. I’m sure you have a lot to offer. You just need some support right now.
Every morning, no matter how I am feeling, I tell myself everything that I am grateful for in my life. Even the tiniest things like my clothes, my food, my car, etc. Gratitude is thankfulness and appreciation.
Do something, no matter how little, that puts a smile on your face. Or makes you laugh.
we take so many things for granted. Go outside and breathe in the fresh air, look at the beautiful sky and all of Gods creations.
Theres so much to live for! One day you will look back and be so glad that you are here and that you have life!
another I think that has helped me is putting down the cell phone and iPad or computer or social media etc. getting back to the simple things in life is so refreshing! there are some great talks on YouTube about motivation and you may be interested in listening to david goggins who is a former Navy seal. He had a horrific childhood but he pulled himself up. Check out some of his videos! you can also just search for motivational talks.take one day at a time, get some support, read some motivational material or watch videos, think of what you’re grateful for every day and when you do something for someone else it makes you feel so good! Take care
also if you’re feeling really really low, there is a number you can call 24 hours a day seven days a week. It’s 800-273-8255. They may also have some resources for you for counseling etc.!
no meed to give up..there is this saying"happiness is free",the day you decide to start being happy even for no reason.. believe me that day depression will find it’s way out of your life, speaking from experience
