So I'm laying in bed and trying to sleep (it's 2 am where I am) but my body isn't allowing me. I'm getting random palpitations, this weird lump in my throat and it's causing me to wake up everyone I do fall asleep. It's so annoying this is the first time it's happening at night when I'm trying to sleep. Is this just anxiety? Before I felt this way I was kinda thinking about my chest cause it hasn't really acted up all day so I was focusing on it a lot. I don't know if it's because of that.
Oh and I forgot to add before I felt the lump in my throat it felt like my heart was beating in my throat.
These are all anxiety symptoms. Anxiety is a pain.
take care
Brian
I figured that's what it was Brian, but ugh I'm trying to sleep and it's scaring me but thank you.
Hey there, I dont suffer anxiety but having the palpiations off and on (all cleared with ECG and heart monitored over a 24 hr period) also have the lump in the throat (have just been prescribed medication for - been on 4 days no joy yet) Dr telling me these are all meno symptoms - which other ladies have shared on silimlar posts - quite unbelievable that hormones can be responsible for all this?
I know buddy, I've suffered with this all my life. I've had periods free for years and then it comes back. It'll go and you'll get over it. Hang in there, it'll pass.
Brian
Can't be meno. I'm only 19 lol. But thanks.
This all seems like anxiety. Did you end up falling asleep?
Yes once I calmed a bit down and distracted myself with my phone but I had a 6:30 am class so I only had maybe around 3 hours of sleep. I just hate the lingering thought of it being something rather anxiety.
for sure, i'm kind of going through the same thing right now, it sucks. You can beat this. As I've mentioned, if you need anything, post on here or send me a PM!
Good luck and all the best!
The quiet of night allows the mind to wander. Best thing to do is pop on you tube and play soothing meditatiions or healing music. It will bore you to sleep or calm you both are useful. Music actually uses a huge part of the brain as i have been reading in research. No word songs healing music.
Have you got a lot on your mind? Even when you try to push those thoughts away during the day the anxiety can creep up at any time. I would get a total blood panel to rule out Vitamin D deficiency. But health anxiet is a real thing and in my case became an OCD issue to Heath. I would just relax your mind and do some deep breathing when those palpitations start. It's easier said than done I know. There is an app calf CALM and there are different meditations you can try. It can take all but 5 min. We all have 5 min. Talk to your dr about what's happening and in my case medication and meditation has helped. Finding this forum with people feeling just like me has helped me see im not alone. Keep me posted
Anxiety creates false alarms and our body reacts with heart palpitations and feeling of lump in the throat. Please acknowledge these as normal bodily reactions.
Listning to guided meditation or soft instrumental music may help ease your tension.
Also, see a doc and discuss your anxiety situations.
Good night!
Exactly. Anxiety can throw off your fight or flight reactions, so your body and mind can react badly to even the smallest things.
thanks
No problem! If you need anything, post on here or feel free to send me a PM!
Good luck and all the best!
Yesterday I felt sorta fine. I just found it weird that I didn't get chest pains that day and I just thought about it as I fell asleep and woke up with like a vibration in my throat and palpitations it was weird
that's very common as well, a lot of people wake up with anxiety.
