Hi I've had a igg blood test done in September and I got a 4.5 for type 2. All the results says negative, but I have this number, plus the person I've been with just got checked and he's negative. He told me I might want to get retested. I've never had an outbreak or anything. How long do you think I've supposedly had it?
There’s really no way to tell how long you’ve had it. Was the test that you took an IGG or IGM?
Igg
once you are positive, in 1st test yes it is possible positive..
I got hight fever in May 2017 they did a lot of test thought it was measles or viral flu, but it was not when I got discharged I thought all fine, when i asked for summary report of my test I found out month of of June it was HSV2 Igg (2.88), for me to re assure I got tested again in July(1.8), i did not contented I went back home in my country and re tested again I did all the konds of std test in September (results as positive in hsv igg 2 with BV) and negative of others. now I am taking Valtrex every day. If you want you can re tested again, ask you health provider to test you all kinds of STD including HIV. Ask what you need to take, what else needs to do. Goodluck!
I've been tested for everything and it's all negative. It just confused me because on my blood work everything is negative, but my number was abnormal. Plus the person that I've been active with physical and he's been oral with me alot and doesnt have it.
you can re test again perhaps after 3 months, to ensure the accuracy of the results (try from different clinic). Hope that would be false only, good luck to your test. keep us posted.
Are you positive for HSV1 IgG as well?
No all results are negative I just had the 4.5 as abnormal
That would seem to suggest you have it, in that case, but the score is very low. You might want to consider the University of Washington western blot just to be sure, but it's expensive and hard to arrange.
